About GreeniePlus Network

A sustainable Network of Nature Lovers

GreeniePlus Network is a youth-led, non-profit organization committed to promoting environmental education, advocacy, and climate action across Africa. GreeniePlus Network was established in August 3rd, 2023 and ever since we have been committed to environmental education and advocacy.

Our projects are dedicated to educating youths to take action and empowering them to create solutions to combat climate change impacts. We also focus on grassroots efforts to lend our voice and support to vulnerable communities impacted by climate change.

Our Vision Statement is to ensure that every youth and vulnerable community thrives in harmony with nature, promoting environmental sustainability and building a resilient future through informed, collective action.

Environmental Education School Outreach

We believe that climate education is fundamental to fostering long-term environmental consciousness. We engage students in public and private schools, youths equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and tools to understand climate change and advocate for sustainable solutions through structured school outreach programs, webinars, and online courses.

Awareness Campaigns

Raising public consciousness about environmental issues is key to inspiring action. Our campaigns leverage social media, community engagements, art, and multimedia storytelling to educate people on pressing environmental concerns and promote eco-friendly behaviours.

Workshops and Bootcamps

We organize intensive training sessions that provide young people and community members with hands-on experience in sustainability, climate advocacy, conservation, and green entrepreneurship. These sessions equip participants with practical skills to develop and implement environmental projects.

Fellowships

Our fellowships empower young change makers by providing mentorship, training, and networking opportunities. Through structured programs, we nurture future environmental leaders, equipping them with the expertise needed to drive impactful climate action in their communities.

Clean-up Events

Pollution remains a significant environmental challenge, particularly in underserved communities. We coordinate clean-up initiatives to restore natural spaces, rivers, and urban areas while educating people on proper waste management and sustainable living practices.

Storytelling

We harness the power of storytelling to highlight the environmental challenges faced by communities and individuals. By sharing personal narratives, documentaries, and digital content, we amplify voices that are often unheard and advocate for policy changes that support environmental justice.

Community Empowerment

We work directly with vulnerable communities to co-develop solutions that enhance climate resilience and sustainability. Our initiatives focus on capacity building, sustainable livelihoods, and ensuring that communities have the resources and knowledge needed to adapt to climate challenges.

Partnerships and Collaborations

We recognize that meaningful change requires collective effort. Through strategic partnerships with governments, academic institutions, NGOs, and private-sector organizations, we expand our reach and impact, ensuring that environmental advocacy and sustainability efforts are effectively implemented and sustained.
