Shalom Ayooluwa Egbebi is a recent graduate of the University of Ibadan, with a First-Class Honours degree in Forestry and emerged as the best graduating student in the Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources. She is a native of Igbajo town in Osun state, Nigeria. Shalom has actively engaged in research, advocacy, and leadership roles focused on solving pressing environmental challenges, by participating in programs such as the Paragon One Externship with  GreenPeace USA and the Millennium Fellowship 2020 among others.

Beyond academics, Shalom is a dedicated environmental advocate. She has volunteered with organizations like Plogging Nigeria and GreenWithGrin on environmental sustainability, waste management and recycling. She also serves as Development Director of the Greenieplus Network, leading programs on environmental sustainability.
