Communications Director

Olamilekan is a forestry student at the University of Ibadan with extensive expertise in GIS, data analysis, and environmental research. He previously served as a Remote Conservation Extern with Greenpeace International and Paragon One, where he contributed to a project focused on engaging Gen Z as climate activists. As Head of Sub-Commission Fundraising for the International Forestry Students Association (Global Hub, UK) and a former Senior Data Manager, he has honed his skills in data management and international collaboration. Proficient in geospatial tools like Python, ArcGIS, and QGIS, Olamilekan has worked on impactful projects, including Bayesian modeling of cholera outbreaks and machine learning for potato leaf classification. His leadership roles, including Vice President of RENARCA and coordinator of IFSS 2026, the world’s largest forestry student symposium, underscore his dedication to advancing sustainable forestry and empowering young professionals.
